7 TIPS AND QUESTIONS YOU CAN ASK YOURSELF TO LEAVE THE LAZINESS BEHIND AND TAKE ACTION

1. Associate pleasure to take action right now

 What benefits do I have to start doing this activity? Why is it important to do it now?

2. Associate pain to not being able to take action anymore

What are the consequences of continuing to postpone this activity? How does it affect me?

3. Put the task in simple and clear terms, and start

What is the most important step I can take now to accomplish my task? Is it possible that it starts now? Would it be a good time to start?

4. Get someone to support you.

What person could help me do this activity? (Support groups, partners, coach, etc …)

5. Break the state of laziness by doing something different

What activity can I do to get out of this state? (Breathe deeply, stretch, go for a walk, take a bath, etc …)

6. Use questions that will lead you to action

How would I feel if it came out in the news that I am postponing what I have to do for mere laziness?

If a person I really admire finds out about this behaviour, how would I feel?

What am I missing doing this important activity?

How much time would you like to waste doing activities that do not make a difference?

7. Use your identity

What would I do if I were in my best mental and emotional state?

What would my self think of the future if it saw me wasting time?

 

These are 7 tips, put them on practice for a whole week, one for each day and share what you feel after finishing. A journal may help you hold accountable if you aren’t sorrounded with people with a strong mindset and who tell you that you’re taking it too seriously.
